Korea Part 2: Seoul

Andddd we're finally in Seoul!!!
Such a huge chore collating all my photos cos they're everywhere on my cam and phone, another reason for my love-hate relationship with winter cos i can't take photos conveniently without feeling like my fingers are gonna fall off….. Had a hard time recalling the sequences of events along the days :( don't really want this post to be super content heavy so i had to wisely select my photos too

After promptly dropping off our things at the hotel, we quickly headed out to myeongdong, there was no time to waste!!

DAY 3 (cont.)

Piping hot street snacks that greeted us at the entrance of the famous shopping street

Sigh so bustling and happy and cold :') My kind of shopping scenario

Ice cream in winter is one of the weirdest satisfactions

AND VIOLA! A kim soo hyun museum????? Imagine by delight and surprise haha he's very famous now even more than my once-first-place lee min ho (but no i didn't go to the museum haha shopping was more impt)

Spy my huge H&M shopping bag? And spy my mess of a hair? The static in winter can be seriously troublesome…….

DAY 4
It was time to try Korea's most famous ginseng chicken place, if you've been to korea, you've probably tried this before. Its the famous Tosokchon! Headed there before going to the palace cos it was in the vicinity.
The queue for this is always insanely long (we beat the queue by going around 11, before lunch time) and the area is traditional and big and spacious!

Ok la it was damn filling but too bland for my liking haha but the chicken was rly tender!

Next up was Gyeongbokgung palace, tourist stuff.

Nothing much, just a great place for selfies

So we quickly headed to ehwa women's university area!!!!!!

Shopped again and ate snacks, and then i spotted a cat cafe!!!!!!

Gorgeous beauty

Friendly koreans who offered to let my lil cousin feed the cats

Didn't get to go in………… :(

A 5-storey starbucks and do you see the lift??? Idk about you but i haven't seen a starbucks in SG with a lift in it before.

DAY 5

Had to choose between lotte world and everland,

LOTTE WORLD!!!! cos everland was super far and inconvenient to get to!

Not many pics cos we had a lot of fun hahahaha even though patience isn't my thing, queuing up for the rides was pretty worth it. The entire place reminds me of hey jekyll and me -- "Wonderland" amusement park lol

Namsan N seoul tower at night (had to rush to squeeze our itinerary cos we realized we didn't really have enough time left!)

Huge cable car ride up up up (wasn't looking forward to the cold at the peak)

the folks on the lovers seats, designed to make lovers sit closer to each other hehe

Lonely soul so can only take pics WITH the locks HAHAHA

Bought a teddy from the museum as a souvenir…….. Bloody overpriced i realized

Who needs a bf when i've got KSH

DAY 6
New bag from ehwa and bucket hat from dongdaemun!

Breakfast (so heavy) fucking yummy though the army stew was good the meat was good…… It was just a random shop we came across while walking out of our hotel

Desserts and coffee at their caffe bene (Its everywhere) after breakfast……….. Talk about filling???

Just more shopping and shopping AND IT STARTED TO SNOW :')

For all kpop fans, this is the official store or sth???

And…… FINALLY STYLENANDA

Oh the glorious 3CE cosmetics, my holy grail. Can't get enough!! (More products are in the process of being stocked up, thanks aaron!!)

Ugh can't wait to go back!!

The best squid IT IS THE BEST i swear

Made reservations for our hair appt for the next day at JUNO hair!

DAY 7

Was really excited for this day cos i couldn't wait to perm my hair and get it fixed (after having bleached it back in SG)

Absolutely adored the interior

My hairstylist who looked like he walked out of a kdrama, he had that air to him

There were many sections to the salon but what i didn't understand was why i had to move back and forth from the salon chair to the tables…

Someone got her hair cut and done too!

Octopus Tan

LAST DAY

So glad we got to try this bbq place near our hotel before we departed, it honestly has the best marinated pork *drools*

And then to….. Hongdae.
Nuff' said. Where all the handsome boys and pretty girls are at. Can't wait to go back during summer (hopefully soon) to experience the night life :(

Seriously love everything about korea?!?!?!! Ok besides the fact that the shopping wasn't that extensive cos it was winter and that it was way too cold to function (cracked skin, dry skin, dry hair) Food was good, people were nice, it's where my fav celebs reside…….. WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE? :)

I think this post is way too long and there're actually even more photos but……… I got lazy hahaaha drafted this out weeks back but I'm only posting this like what?! More than a month later. Really missing Korea :'( This post makes me sad as i'm watching my kdramas and wishing i was korean. *sigh*

Anyhoo, can't wait to start traveling again from May onwards before uni starts /groans/ seriously excited to board the plane to places once again ^-^
