Been wanting to blog for a long time but i haven't got down to doing it cos i've been quite busy (even though its the hols) BUT i'll be blogging abt my trip to beijing now!! Condensing it all into 2 posts! P/S barely edited my pics cos there're too many....
Spend an entire week there, idk why but i was excited for the trip (maybe cos i haven't been to China like EVER) and everyone was saying I'm crazy etc etc but i enjoyed my time there!! The people didn't turn out to be as bad as i thought they would (sorry) they were actually a lot like us! Stuff over there were fly pricey though IRONIC cos everything is MADE IN CHINA. So ya barely any shopping done mostly walking arnd and sightseeing!
DAY 1:
I LOVE SUPERMARKET SHOPPING!!
(look at the wide variety of oreos hehehe)
Entering the food street (reminded me of running man ep to china which i watched!)
Immediately greeted by this........ W t f......... They were live scorpions mind you. WRIGGLING AND SQUIRMING ARND ON THAT STICK WAITING FOR IT TO BE EATEN.
I don't get it man. Gross.
This was even worse, black widow, lizards, seahorse, starfish, beetles, crickets, and even more scorpions..... HOLY................ Gag
This on the other hand, i love it hehe its like hardened malt candy on a stick and it can be shaped into any animal or picture you want! Pretty pricey though but yum!
Afterwards we went to tiananmen thinking of going into the forbidden city but apparently it closes super early and we were there too late (lol like 3+, sun sets around 4.30!)
Gotta be back early during this period cos it gets too cold at night and SUPER TIRED by the end of the day...
Day 2: Some tombstone place + great wall of china!!!!!!
LOL he has like a total of 7 layers, the temp was subzero btw, but it didn't snow :(
Ok honestly these pics below don't even need filters, LOOK!! So scenic!! Breathtaking views almost everywhere. Its exactly like the shows and movies hahaha
At the bottom of the great wall, then we had to take this wheely ride (totally uncalled for) and the thing just doesn't stop for you and you gotta hope on it yourself and make sure you're safe... The ride up wasn't fast but it was SO STEEP. The ride down was a lot faster ALSO uncalled for.
GORGEOUS VIEW!!!! Friggin' cold, btw it takes a lot of effort and courage to take a pic here cos i gotta take off my gloves just to snap pics............. Damn touch screen. OFC we didn't manage to walk the whole great wall i mean its impossible its so long and steep and just an overall arduous journey lol.
Look at this kid, so excited to sit on the camel he kept asking! It cost 10 bucks (sgd) just to sit on it and take pics like the camel doesn't even move.... Um daylight robbery
