Closure

As 2013 is coming to an end, i thought it would be a good idea to end off the year with a heartfelt post.
2013 has been a year of happiness, heartbreaks, surprises and hardwork. Not exactly a smooth-sailing year but it has taught me loads nonetheless.

This is the year i started blogging again, and i find it rather therapeutic i might say, almost like reliving past memories.

This is also the year i retained in JC which i see it as a blessing rather than a curse. It gave me more time to grasp the syllabus and relearn what i neglected last year due to my indolence. The lord is good, i made the cut and here i am heading for my final year in JC. Feeling blessed even though i know full well the academic rigor i'll be facing next year. At least i have a chance to continue.

It is also the year i started working at sogurt, which throughly expanded my social connections and skills, i also got to learn more aside from what i am exposed to in JC and my own circle of friends. I got to meet nice and new people who filled my life with joy just like little sprinkles on top of a dessert :) Since i don't attend CCA, this was an equivalent. Something i could do to occupy my time when i didn't wanna study, the extra income didn't hurt either!

The year i learnt about true friendship, to know who are the ones who i should call "friend". Grateful for every friend (be it old or new) in my life, you guys have been nothing but a blessing to me this year. My j2 friends have graduated and though i wish i could do so with them, the new j1 friends i made this year have kept me sane and happy thus far and i would gladly choose to graduate with them as well :)

Love is a risk, love is a dare. I fell in love and no, this didn't start this year but it happens all over again when I'm with him. Yeah we fight and argue, occasionally we go overboard while we're at it. We bring out the best and worst in each other. Maybe things are just meant to be like that, not exactly how we planned but just how its supposed to be. At least we're back on track over the past few months. Hopefully the coming year will be even better and happier!

I have learnt that it is quintessential to find the balance between school, studies, friends, relationship and family. And though i know i have been neglecting my family a lot, i still keep them close. Thankful for a close knitted family with loving parents who understand and help me through tough times. And a sibling who may seem juvenile to me most of the time but i know she looks up to me and i do wish i could play a better role in my family but I fell short. So here's to the year ahead, to being a better person!

It's hard to pen down all these thoughts all at once but this is the best i can gather. Since so much has happened i guess these must have been the more important things. Old is gold.

Cheers to the new year everyone! Have a happy new year, may we all be wiser as we grow a year older ^-^

Bangkok Bound

So 4 girls embarked on their journey to a foreign country...
Lol jk its not so foreign after all, OUR FAV SHOPPING DESTINATION!!!!! We waited days, weeks and months for this trip and just when we thought the day wouldn't come, time just flew by and it was time for us to pack and say sayonara to boring sgp aaah~
Do take note this is gonna be a super lengthy post :-) I'll try to cut it short but also include the highlights and details!

DAY 1:

Wish we took a video of our room, it was really big and spacious, just what we needed! We stayed at the berkeley hotel pratunam :)

Next we were off to meet our (ginnie and i) buddies for dinner after shopping at platinum the moment we touched down lol

Tuk tuk mandatory shot! (Super dark, bad pic)

No prizes for guessing... We headed to our very favorite MK restaurant, but since we went to the one at paragon, it was MK restaurant GOLD and we didn't know it was different at first lol.
Nonetheless they still have the mouth-watering duck noodles ^-^

Glad we got to meet up with our bkk buddies hopefully we'll get to meet them at least once a year!!

After a long first day, goodnight!

DAY 2:

Buffet breakfast was a motivation for us to wake up early everyday

BEAUTIFUL POOL WHICH WE NEVER GOT TO SWIM IN, STILL QUITE PISSED OVER THAT >:(

After that we set off for second day of shopping!! And we got to look at the protests live! Super friendly and chill protest that day though, they just look like they were rallying!

I present to you..... SEX IN THE CITY SG VERSION!!!! Hehehe

We headed to sampeng market which is totally underrated but super great place to hunt for gems! I got quite a bit out of it that day! We kinda got lost inside the market though but then its never hard to find your way out, just follow the crowd! We spent our entire morning here :)

Headed to central chitlom for some lingerie shopping and also to have lunch!
~Greyhound cafe~

Yup that's ginnie having pasta in THAILAND

instagram worthy desserts, tasted just as good as it looked!

Was super duper tired by the end of our lingerie shopping, everything was so heavy cos i think i bought too much lol...

Yup no joke i looked like this everyday with bags strung all over my arm #armcandy
ALSO NO JOKE I SWEAR I GAINED MUSCLES OR TONED UP OR STH... We shopped for 12 hours everyday non stop I'm not exaggerating hahahaha

On our way back to the hotel we took some pics around some pretty neat xmas deco and I'm just too lazy to upload all the photos we took!

Gelish mani ^^

DAY 3:
Headed to union mall, though the things there are more pricey, its easier to bargain compared to platinum and its easier to shop there too with it being less crowded! We too got really good buys there :) :)

Another shot of me being upset (not with my buys) but with the fact that i had to carry so many things around!!! (I got a hugeass bag to dump all my shopping everyday on the next day!)

(spy the mister donut plastic bag, my favorite donuts!!!!!!)

Headed for a massage before going back to the hotel after yet another long dayyyyy

DAY 4: (aka last day sigh)
It was our last full day of shopping and OF COURSE we headed to chatuchak!! Where else would we go hehe
Before that we gave our buffet breakfast a skip and went for the highly raved about pratunam wonton mee and pork leg rice for breakfast!

Very satisfied!! Look at how much we ate haha we ordered twice! Double the portion hehe

Ah~ The scent of chatuchak :)

The must-try coconut ice cream!

Super cute ice cream truck with rather pricey cute popsicles

After almost an entire day of shopping at chatuchak we left around the evening for siam paragon again!
Dropped by siam centre and was really impressed with the toilet haha OH BTW not once did we encounter a dirty or disgusting toilet... All the toilets we went to were clean and nice!

My huge silver shopping bag which served me well wahaaha

See? Even a resting area with dressing rooms and power points to charge yo phone ya!

Time for some krispy kreme WHICH IS HALF THE PRICE THERE!! Slurps

The original glazed yum

Headed to after you after delaying it for many many days, super popular dessert cafe everyone's been going to so ofc its a must try for us too!!

I love it!

Look at the bags of shopping at the side (and how tired we look!)
Though we were tired every single day without fail, the retail therapy still beats anything! I guess this is what you get when you put 4 shopaholics together!

Our loots!! I know............ :0

DAY 5:
LAST DAY :'( SO DEPRESSING YA??? Ok so apparently the riots were gonna worsen on this day so we had to leave 4 hours earlier before our flight ugh so we had to cancel our morning swimming plans hence missing our chance to take a dip in the magnificent pool :(

AND THEN IN THE END THE TRAFFIC WAS SO SMOOTH AND WE WERE AT THE AIRPORT WITHIN 30 MINS OMG I WAS SO....... PISSED AND SAD!!!

Had so much time so we ate and walked around before leaving bkk!

Haha made time in our tight schedule to finally have some authentic thai food before leaving.

Macarons again

Sawadeekrup! Till next time +66!

This has got to be my longest post so far... But its something worth my time blogging about because i had the time of my life traveling with the best things (people) i got out of SA! Felt like i just relieved those good times while blogging :') So so glad and thankful that the whole trip was just perfect as a whole and so fun-packed! Would do anything to rewind time sigh. Can't wait for our next trip! (Which will only be possible in a year's time due to As)
